About Us

Made by hand. Made to last. Made with love.

Welcome to Blue Wren Collective — a small handmade clothing studio nestled in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia.
we believe that the most meaningful things come from slowing down, paying iattention, and making something with your hands. Every piece we create is a one-of-a-kind garment, cut and sewn from recycled vintage fabrics and reclaimed materials that deserve a second life.

How We Make Our Clothes

Our process starts long before a stitch is sewn. We source recycled wool and vintage fabrics — hunting through markets, op shops, and textile collections for materials with character and history. No two pieces of fabric are the same, which means no two garments are ever the same.

Each item is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in our small studio in Penrose, in  the Southern Highlands. We take our time. We don't do fast fashion. What we do is make clothing that's built to be worn, loved, and kept for years.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability isn't a trend for us — it's the foundation of everything we do. Blue Wren Collective is proud to be rated 'Great' overall by Good On You, one of the world's leading ethical fashion rating platforms.

Here's what that means in practice:

  • We use recycled wool and reclaimed vintage fabrics
  • We never use fur, leather, down, or exotic animal products
  • We give discarded textiles a new purpose, keeping them out of landfill
  • We keep our production small and intentional — never more than we need

Rooted in the Southern Highlands

We're proud to call the Southern Highlands home. This region — with its cool misty mornings, rolling green hills, and tight-knit creative community — shapes everything about how we work and what we make. Our garments are as much a product of this place as they are of our hands.

You can find us online or at selected local markets throughout the year. We love meeting the people who wear our clothes — it's one of the best parts of what we do.

Every Piece Tells a Story

When you buy from Blue Wren Collective, you're not just buying a garment. You're wearing a piece of fabric that has lived a life before yours, reimagined into something new. You're supporting slow, sustainable, handmade fashion. And you're taking home something that no one else in the world has.

That's what makes it special. That's what makes it ours — and now, yours.
